Right now, regardless that there are many professional platforms to use, the majority off students use Linkden. Instagram can be so personal, snapchat is so private, and Tik Tok is comical. If an an employer we’re to cross my social medias, would this affect how I got a job? I looked over all my social medias, and I have concluded that I would be fine. For my other EDCI class I did a social media cleanse just a few days ago which defiantly helps. Prior to this I dint have any photos that I was 100% sure were bad, however, I had a few that I had to second guess. I am applying for internships shortly, because of this I decided while doing my social media cleanse that if I even had a second thought about an image, it probably wasn’t okay, and I needed to archive it. My Linkden profile is quite professional, I would hope this would be the first social media of mine that’d be looked at. My biggest problem with digital footprint is my Tik Tok, not to say there’s anything inappropriate, but there are defiantly embarrassing videos, or things I may not want an employee to see.
